Kinesiologist/Strength Coach Internship

We’re looking for motivated individuals who are passionate about helping people reach their health and fitness goals to participate in our next internship program.

A Balance In Motion internship will give you the opportunity to work alongside our kinesiology team and coach a variety of clients; including athletes, people rehabilitating from injury and our general fitness clientele.

As a BIM intern you have the opportunity to compliment your hands-on training with insider access to our weekly staff meetings – which focus on continued education in a classroom-style learning environment.

We were all where you are now, and know that the key to getting to the next step is not only education, but also experience. This is why we work closely with our interns to help them develop coaching, assessment and program-design skillsets, as well as the fundamentals of injury rehab to compliment their career aspirations within the fitness industry.

Internship Details

Our internship program involves 20-25 hours per week of volunteered time – all of which is fun, interactive and educational.

Start Date: October 2019

Program outline:

  • Exercise coaching (3-weeks)
  • Functional anatomy (3-weeks)
  • Program design (2-weeks)
  • Energy system development (2-weeks)
  • Assessment (2-weeks)
The following experience is beneficial, but not required:
  • A 4-year degree in exercise science or kinesiology (4th year students will be considered)
