Our Athletic Training program offers sport-specific coaching to help you develop your game. Whether you compete on the ice, field, court, pool or green, we can provide all the support you need to get you performing at a higher level, while significantly reducing your chance of injury.

What's Included

1-on-1 Strategy Session

This is the first step in our training process. We sit down with you to discuss your medical history, goals and lifestyle to figure out what you need to do to achieve the results you want.

Fitness Assessment

We conduct a postural screen, muscle imbalance testing and a Functional Movement Screen (FMS™) to help us identify any imbalances, past or present injuries and/or faulty movement patterns that could hold you back from reaching your goals.

Customized Exercise Programming

We tailor your program to you, your goals and the demands of your sport. By building a program that addresses your imbalances and re-establishes proper movement techniques, we can start to build up any weak areas and further develop your specific strengths.

Productive Strength Training

How strong you are directly influences your performance. We strategically select exercises that will help you progressively increase strength while maintaining joint stability within an appropriate range of motion.

Mobility + Flexibility Training

To execute any movement with proficiency, it is important that you have optimal mobility. We improve your joint health, reduce your risk of injury and get you performing at a higher level with specialized mobility drills.

Core Stability Training

We build up your foundational core musculature to increase the transfer of force between your upper and lower body for optimal performance.

Systematic Training

The key to improved athletic performance is repetition. We periodize your training (systematically varying the intensity and volume) to maximize performance while reducing your chance of injury.

Kinesiologist Support

Our kinesiologists will show you how to perform each exercise, teach you how to use our training equipment, make sure that you are performing each exercise properly and progress your training as goals are met.

Injury Prevention

Once an injury has occurred you are at a higher risk for reinjury. We take preventative measures to reduce your risk of injury by addressing your weaknesses to keep you training and improving while minimizing setbacks.

Education for High Performance

If you don’t address the root of your injury (what caused it) you cannot prevent it from happening again. We don’t address symptoms; we address the root cause of those symptoms. By teaching you to do the same, we give you with the tools to perform at a high level for the long-term.

Our Training Process

We give you everything you need to perform optimally.
Strategy SessionWe sit down with you to discuss your medical history, sport and training goals aany hurdles you may be experiencing.
We assess your posture – administering a few tests to determine the location of your muscular imbalances and where you lack stability and/or mobility.
We administer a Functional Movement Screen (FMSTM) to identify any functional limitations and/or asymmetries present in your body.
Exercise Programming
We prepare a personalized plan that specifically addresses all the imbalances and restrictions revealed in your initial assessment.
Managed Coaching
We work with you to reach your goals – progressing and adjusting your program as targets are met.
Strength Training
We strategically select exercises that develop your strength in key areas, while ensuring you maintain joint stability in an appropriate range of motion.
Systems Training
Our conditioning programs are specifically tailored to improve endurance, speed, and/or explosive power.
Mobility +
Flexibility Training
We improve your joint health and reduce your risk of injury by developing your mobility and flexibility with specialized warmup and stretching drills.
Stability Training
We build up your core musculature to increase your stability and improve the force transfer between your upper and lower body.
