BIM Story: Amanda

An unexpected event, such as an injury, can completely change your health and fitness goals. When our client, Amanda, tore both her ACL and her MCL, she knew she needed to make a change that would help her get back to feeling her strongest. This is her story and how she worked with BIM to go beyond better and get back to skiing again less than a year after her injury.

AMANDA

“I tore my ACL and MCL while skiing on Boxing Day in 2018. Though I was gradually recovering, I was motivated to get better and I needed additional guided support.

I figured there was no harm in going to BIM and I am really glad I did! Andrea was very responsive and attentive to my needs. She was so knowledgeable and supportive during our meeting – she even offered to write me an at-home program to start until I got clearance from my physio to start sessions.

Working with BIM has kept me accountable, and my workouts are much more consistent now. I’m an avid cyclist and I’ve definitely noticed a difference in how much stronger I’ve become on the bike. I also have an old shoulder injury, and I notice less aches and pains with that as well since I’ve started at BIM.

Most importantly, I opted not to get ACL surgery and was able to rebuild my strength and confidence to ski again less than a year after my injury.

The staff at BIM is amazingly supportive and very attentive to your needs. If you want to make a change, give BIM a try!”

We are all so proud of Amanda and the progress that she’s made.
