What is Kinesiology?
The British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK) defines Kinesiology as “The assessment of movement, performance and function and the rehabilitation, prevention and management of disorders to maintain, rehabilitate or enhance movement, performance and function, in the areas of sport, recreation, work, exercise, and activities of daily living.”
Simply put, Kinesiology is the science of human movement. As Kinesiologists, we apply the principles of biomechanics, anatomy, physiology and psychomotor behaviour to improve the lives of people of all ages and physical ability.
How do we do that? By assessing, tracking and managing your personal health goals, then working with you to achieve them.
