Position: Strength & Rehab Coach (Kinesiologist)

Location: Richmond or Vancouver, BC
Position Type: Part-time to start, with a clear path to full-time

About Us
Balance In Motion (BIM) is not your average gym. We’re a kinesiology-based strength and rehab facility that bridges the gap between injury recovery and high performance. Our clients range from post-rehab individuals looking to return to confident movement, to athletes seeking smart, effective strength coaching.

What makes us unique?
At BIM, coaching is collaborative, individualized, and rooted in movement science. We’re not here to push cookie-cutter programs or churn through clients, we focus on quality, consistency, and long-term results. Our coaches are part of a team that truly supports growth – for both our clients and each other.

About the Role
We’re looking for a kinesiologist who wants to build a career in this space. This is a part-time role to start (primarily mornings and/or evenings), with the intention of growing into a full-time position that could include program development, specialization, or leadership over time.

If you’re passionate about coaching, love strength training, and want to work in a collaborative, education-focused environment then this is for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Coach individualized strength and movement programs in our semi-private training model
  • Complete movement assessments and build personalized programs using our in-house systems
  • Collaborate with our team of kinesiologists and healthcare partners (physios, RMTs, etc.) to support client progress
  • Educate clients on strength, recovery, and long-term resilience
  • Contribute to a supportive environment that fosters trust, growth, and results

Who You Are

  • You have a degree in Kinesiology or a related field
  • Ideally, you’re a registered kinesiologist (or eligible in BC), but we’ll consider non-members with the right experience
  • You have strong coaching experience or a passion for learning and delivering strength-based programming
  • You’re not just interested in clinical rehab—you want to help people move better, feel stronger, and thrive
  • You’re confident working with a wide range of individuals: post-injury clients, active agers, and recreational or competitive athletes
  • You’re a team player who values collaboration, curiosity, and continued learning
  • Bonus: You’ve pursued (or are interested in) certifications like CSCS, FRC, PRI, TPI, etc.

Why Work With Us

  • Join a tight-knit team of experienced coaches and kinesiologists
  • Enjoy mentorship, in-service training, and opportunities to specialize
  • Build long-term relationships—our clients stay with us for years
  • Work in a space that values movement quality, critical thinking, and evidence-based coaching
  • Opportunity to grow into full-time hours and beyond
