On Sunday, September 25th at 11:30am, we will be hosting a charity bootcamp with 100% of proceeds going to the Alzheimers Society of B.C.
Immediately following the hour workout, we will be hosting a potluck BBQ, so make sure that you plan to stick around for that. Or if you can’t make the workout, just come by for some good eats and great company. 🙂
Why are we hosting this bootcamp?
Well, one of our incredible clients, Salim, is climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania with his daughter to help raise funds for Alzheimers. This is a near and dear cause to a lot of us here at BIM, so we hope that you will join us as we work(out) to raise funds for it.
Admission for this bootcamp will be by donation, so please drop by, bring your friends, and sweat for an amazing cause.
If you have any questions about the bootcamp or the BBQ after, please don’t hesitate to email us at admin@balancemotion.com.
Hope to see you there!
Read Salim’s story below to get inspired and learn why he’s decided to accomplish this amazing feat. ⬇️
Hello everyone!
This May I reached a milestone in my life …..turning 60!! To mark this auspicious occasion I am climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania with my daughter Safiya to raise money for the Alzheimer Society of B.C. I was born in Uganda, East Africa and ever since I was a child I have always dreamed of climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro. Now I get to cross it off my bucket list!! Our climb begins on Sept 10th and will take us 6 days to reach the summit.
Why Alzheimer’s ?
As a family dentist for 35 years, I have seen an increase in the number of my patients, their care givers and families affected by the devastation of Alzheimer’s. I want to do my part to bring awareness and help bring an end to this terrible disease.
We can’t afford to ignore Alzheimer’s disease. It has an overwhelming impact on the people who develop it, and the families who care for them. The number of Canadians with dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease is rising sharply. It is projected that the number of Canadians aged forty and older living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia is expected to climb from an estimated 395,000 in 2016 to 674,000 in 2031.
Please help me make a difference by supporting me with your donation to this most worthy cause. 100% of all donations will go to the Alzheimer Society of B.C.
