Understanding Pain

One thing I think we can all agree on is, that there is nothing worse than being in pain. We all know what it feels like, and most of us have experienced it more than once. But how much do you really understand about pain?

[list type=”4″]

  • Why it occurs
  • The different types and degrees of it
  • What effects it has on your body’s general movement
  • How it causes you to move differently
  • And how those changes in movement have potential long-term consequences

If you’re interested to learn the answers to any of those points, then you need to check out THIS post. The article will give you a new perspective on pain and explain how you can address it properly to prevent long-term compensations. It was written by a good friend of mine who is also a local chiropractor, Dr. Kristian Frantzen. Dr. Frantzen works out of Satori Integrative Health and LifeMark at the Richmond Olympic Oval. He specializes in the treatment of dysfunctional movement patterns, musculoskeletal conditions and sports-related injuries. He also treats me, along with many other BIM staff members and clients, so I can say with confidence that his treatment practices are successful in reducing pain and improving the quality of movement.

If you find yourself with questions after reading it, or are currently suffering from pain, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me (andrea@balancemotion.com) or Dr. Frantzen (dr.kfrantzen@gmail.com). We’d both be happy to help.

Here’s to a happy and pain-free life!
