We are excited to welcome Lawrence Lam to our team. Lawrence has a kinesiology background and has been a registered massage therapist for the past 7 years. He has worked with athletes as well as done extensive work in injury rehab. Below is his bio:
Lawrence Lam, RMT, B.Sc. Kinesiology
Lawrence graduated from Simon Fraser University in 2004 with a degree in Kinesiology, where his focus was promoting fitness and health. However, he found his true passion in injury rehabilitation and graduated as a massage therapist from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2007. His work has taken him from Vancouver to Hong Kong and back to Vancouver again.
Since then, he found experience as an assistant trainer with the Vancouver Canadians Baseball team and as a sports massage therapist for the Vancouver Whitecaps and Canadian Women’s Rugby Sevens team. In addition, he has extensive experience treating work injuries, motor vehicle accidents, and other causes of pain and dysfunction from everyday life.
His treatment revolves around a combination of myofascial release, gentle mobilizations, and deep tissue massage to treat dysfunction and pain. The goal of his treatments is to identify functional deficiencies in patients and treat them with massage as well as prescribed exercise programs.
