Frequently Asked Questions
Your first session is a one-on-one assessment with one of our coaches. We’ll start by talking through your goals, training history, and any injuries or limitations you’re dealing with. From there, we’ll take you through a movement assessment to understand how your body is currently moving and where we can best support you. This isn’t about testing how “fit” you are, it’s about understanding where you’re at so we can build a program that actually works for you. By the end of the session, we’ll outline a clear plan for your training and next steps.
Not at all. A lot of people come to us feeling like they need to “get in shape first” but that’s exactly what we’re here for. We work with people at all starting points, including those who are coming back from injury, time off, or who are completely new to strength training. Your program is built around your current ability, not where you think you should be.
Yes! This is a big part of what we do. Many of our clients come to us dealing with ongoing pain or injuries that have limited their training. Our approach focuses on understanding what’s contributing to that discomfort and building a program that helps you move better, get stronger, and return to the activities you enjoy. While we’re not a physiotherapy clinic, our coaches are trained in kinesiology and work closely within their scope to bridge the gap between rehab and performance.
Semi-private training means you’re working in a small group setting (typically up to 3 people per coach), but following your own individualized program. This allows us to give you a high level of coaching and attention while still creating a supportive and motivating environment. Unlike group classes where everyone does the same workout, your program is designed specifically for you based on your goals, movement assessment, and training history. You’re never left guessing what to do or whether you’re doing it correctly, we guide you through each session.
Our memberships are based on how many sessions you’d like to attend each week (for example, 1x, 2x, or 3x/week), and are billed weekly. There are no long-term contracts, and you can adjust your membership as your schedule or goals change. We’ll walk you through all of your options after your assessment so you can choose what feels like the right fit.
No. We don’t lock you into long-term contracts. Our goal is to create a program and environment that you want to be consistent with, not something you feel stuck in. You can adjust, pause, or cancel your membership as needed.
We understand that schedules change. We run sessions throughout the day to give you flexibility, and if you need to miss a session, we just ask for notice so we can open that spot up to someone else. If you have planned time away, we can also pause your membership. We’ll go over all of this with you so you know exactly how it works.
Memberships are billed weekly. This gives you more flexibility compared to larger upfront commitments, and allows you to adjust your training as needed.
Yes. We start everyone with an initial assessment and introductory sessions so you can experience how we work before deciding on an ongoing plan. This gives you a chance to get a feel for the environment, coaching style, and structure and to make sure it’s the right fit for you.
It depends on your starting point and goals, but most people begin to notice changes in how they move and feel within the first few weeks. We don’t believe in chasing short-term, unrealistic results. The fitness industry often promises big transformations in very short periods of time but that’s not how lasting progress is built. If you can make small, consistent improvements in your training, nutrition, sleep, and stress, you’ll start to see meaningful changes fairly quickly. And as those improvements build over time, the results can be significant. Our focus is on helping you create a plan you can stick with so the progress you make not only happens, but lasts.
