Isabelle Beggs
Coach & Kinesiologist
Isabelle holds a Bachelor’s of Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia and is currently pursuing certifications in Certified Personal Training with ACE and Vocational Rehabilitation and Disability Management from SFU. Specializing in neuromechanical and physiological sciences, with a minor in Psychology, Isabelle is passionate about helping people recover from injuries, build strength, and reach their full potential.
As someone living with type 1 diabetes, she brings a unique perspective on managing diabetes through exercise. A lifelong volleyball player, Isabelle continues to enjoy the sport recreationally in Tsawwassen. FUN FACT: Isabelle is deathly scared of spiders.
Jen Booton
Coach & Practicing Kinesiologist
Jen has been an integral part of Balance In Motion since day one. A practicing kinesiologist, certified under the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK), Jen specializes in active rehabilitation of soft tissue injuries through exercise and athletic performance training. Since graduating with a degree in Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia in 2012.
Jen has obtained a number of additional certifications in order to give her clients the highest level of coaching available. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. A certified Functional Movement Systems™ provider, with level 1 and 2 credentials. An active part of the StrongFirst™ kettlebell community. And is currently working towards a credential with the Postural Restoration Institute. With a passion for restoring movement to rehabilitate injuries, enhance athletic performance and improve quality of life, Jen takes a corrective approach to addressing muscular imbalances, restoring proper breathing patterns and improving posture to help her clients achieve the best results possible. Jen is one of the lead trainers here at BIM, working with Personal, Semi-Private and Group Training clients. She is also a Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Richmond Rapids Senior Provincial and National Age Group swim teams, and has worked with Richmond Youth Soccer – providing strength and conditioning coaching to their selects teams. FUN FACT: Jen is an avid closet puzzler. She also enjoys terrible puns, the cheesier the punnier.
Jessica Holmes
Nutrition Coach
Jessica is dedicated to helping clients master the nutritional habits and behaviors necessary to meet their individual goals and make lasting changes to their health and wellness. A graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, Jessica holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education.
She has also completed graduate work in both education and administration. Jessica has been active in the area of developmental coaching and assessment and is working towards her Precision Nutrition Coaching Certification. In high school Jessica played basketball and continued to stay active in university, playing different intramural sports. As a wife and mother of five, much of the last two decades has been spent raising her family and teaching all ages in diverse learning environments. After living in Mississippi, California and Nevada she is excited to be back home in Richmond. Jessica is approachable and passionate about walking alongside those who are ready to explore all the benefits at proper nutrition at all stages of fitness. FUN FACT: Jessica once auditioned for the Mickey Mouse Club but lost her spot to two no name celebrities… Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears. (True story)
Max Sie
Coach & Kinesiologist
Max is passionate about helping people of all ages build strength, confidence and resilience through thoughtful, evidence-based training. What inspires him to coach is seeing individuals reach new levels of performance and movement quality, both in the gym and in their daily lives. He believes that coaching is not only about understanding how the body works but also about supporting each person’s unique journey towards becoming more physically active.
Before joining BIM, Max completed a Bachelor’s of Kinesiology from University of British Columbia, specializing in Neuromechanical and Physiological Sciences, where he developed a strong foundation in human movement, physiology and performance training. He also gained extensive coaching experience volunteering and working as an Ultimate Frisbee coach, helping youth athletes develop sport-specific skills and a passion for movement.
Currently at BIM, Max coaches semi-private training sessions from Tuesday through Friday mornings and serves as the Strength and Conditioning coach for the Richmond Rapid Senior Provincial and National team.
Fun fact: He learned how to juggle in elementary school as it was a unit in PE.
Amin Ghanbari
Coach & Kinesiologist
Amin began working with us this past August. He is passionate about helping people enhance their quality of life by managing their injuries so that they can enjoy an active lifestyle! He obtained his Bachelor and Master’s degree in Physical Education and Sport Sciences from the University of Mazandaran, and his PhD in Sport Management from Allameh Tabatabai University. He has published 7 articles in sports journals!
Amin has extensive coaching experience, and has served over 30 years as a strength coach. He has worked with various types of individuals including athletes from recreation to Olympic levels, high-performance athletes, those with disabilities, and more! He is a lifelong swimmer, and enjoys playing volleyball, table tennis, and biking in his spare time.

Fun fact: Amin can hold his breath underwater for 2 minutes
