Bo graduated from UBC with a Bachelor of Kinesiology, specializing in neuromechanical and physiological sciences. Currently, she is pursuing Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) credentials through the NSCA. Bo is a former member of the UBC Women’s Golf Team, capturing two individual tournament titles, and contributed to four Canadian National Championship and three NAIA National Championship team titles. These successes have shaped her understanding of elite performance, discipline, and resilience. She plans to turn professional next year, so she can continue to compete at an elite level and develop her skills as a coach! While at UBC, Bo volunteered with the Special Olympics, coaching golf and soccer.
She also volunteered in a physiotherapy clinic for individuals with brain and spinal cord injuries. Through these opportunities, she gained hands-on experience in adaptive movement, exercise modification, and rehabilitation techniques tailored to each clients’ abilities. As both a strength coach and a competitive athlete, Bo is passionate about helping others enhance performance, build resilience, and move with purpose. Outside of BIM, Bo can usually be found on the golf course, playing pickleball, or climbing.
Fun fact: Bo enjoys trying new beverages, whether it’s a creative coffee or a bubble tea, and is always looking for her next favorite.
