BIM Lab: 3 Exercises to Improve Your Core Timing

We all know that having a strong core is important but core timing is something that is often overlooked. Core timing refers to when the appropriate muscles fire at the right time with the ideal amount of tension.

Here are 3 exercises that will help you strengthen your anterior core and improve the efficiency of your core timing.

COACHING CUES:

  1. The key with all of these exercises is HOW they are performed. Be picky about your technique, not allowing your body to shift and only progress once you are proficient at each level.
  2. Customize your reps based on how well you can complete them. Stop if you can’t execute with good form. You should only be training with good quality movement.
